Terms of service

VACWatch collects publicly available Steam ban information and presents it in one place, so you can check accounts and be alerted when a tracked account picks up a ban. That is all it is. It is a record of what Steam publishes.

VACWatch is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation, Faceit, or Discord. Steam and VAC are trademarks of Valve Corporation.

A ban record is not an accusation, and VACWatch does not make findings about anybody's conduct. Ban data comes from Steam and inherits Steam's accuracy and timing. Records may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Some historical ban entries are inferred from Steam's totals, because Steam reports how many bans an account has but not a dated breakdown of each one — those entries are marked as inferred.

Do not treat anything here as proof of cheating, and do not rely on it for any decision that materially affects someone. Verify against Steam directly.

• 01You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and old enough to enter a contract where you live if you buy a membership.
• 02Keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• 03Only claim Steam accounts you actually own. Claiming someone else's is grounds for termination.

Do not:

• 01Use VACWatch to harass, threaten, defame, or target anyone, or to organise others to do so.
• 02Scrape, bulk-export, or resell the data, or use automated tools against the site beyond its intended features.
• 03Attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure.
• 04Present VACWatch data as an official Valve determination, or otherwise misrepresent what it is.

Some features require a paid membership. Prices are shown before you subscribe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel any time from your account settings — access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.

Payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see your card details. Except where the law gives you a refund right, payments are non-refundable. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law where it applies.

If a tracked account is yours and you want it removed or corrected, email support@vac.watch with the SteamID and how you can show the account is yours. We consider every request, and will explain our reasoning if we decline. See theprivacy policy for the full picture.

VACWatch is provided as is, with no guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or continued availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, and may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

The service depends on third-party APIs — Steam, Faceit, and Discord — and will be degraded or unavailable when they are.

To the maximum extent the law allows, VACWatch is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on data presented here. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply only so far as the law permits.

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. We may update them; material changes will be noted here with a new effective date, and continuing to use the site means you accept the revised terms.
